Tiffany and Jeremy began their story during their early years of collegiate study at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and have known each other for 16 years! They met at a campus campus party in 2001, where Tiffany says she was attracted to Jeremy's big kind eyes, so she walked up to him, danced with him, gave him her number and left! Jeremy says Tiffany came up to him out of nowhere, and after she left he asked his friends if they saw what happened because he couldn't believe her boldness. They dated intermittently throughout college, while Jeremy was in medical school in Nashville and residency in Saint Louis, but after hardships in dating they decided to go their separate ways. They were apart for 4 years, time they both say they needed to grow into his and her own. Tiffany moved to Chicago and Jeremy from Saint Louis to Nashville, and it wasn't until both were considering moving to Atlanta that they reconnected. They moved to Atlanta together after years of being apart and began again their story that never ended...

he couldn't believe her boldness

In Jeremy's Words: After picking out Tiffany’s engagement ring, I only had one dilemma, how to give it to her. After checking into Cirque Du Soleil (no proposals allowed), Sun Dial restaurant (too cliché for Tiffany), and the botanical gardens (no guarantees), I became quite flustered. I decided to discuss my plans with my mom and in all of her brilliance she told me, “Jeremy you’re not that creative, quit being cheap and spend some money.” Then it clicked--Tiffany loves French culture, and there's a French-themed winery north of Atlanta named Chateau Elan. I booked reservations, dinner on a balcony for the proposal, and found a local photographer for the event. On the drive to Atlanta, I worked out my proposal speech and noticed a sick feeling in my stomach I couldn't readily place. Friday morning came, and the first thing I did was check The Weather Channel App. . . . . scattered showers for dinner. I had to call an audible. I texted the event coordinator and switched the proposal to the next day at a gazebo overlooking a large fountain in a pond. We arrived and decided to take a wine tour before dinner and she took extra care in getting ready. Dinner came and went, and I could hear some disappoint in her voice there was no proposal. Saturday morning I woke up at 5 am and couldn't go back to sleep. After planning our day, we decided to start with

brunch. Luckily, she picked the restaurant overlooking the gazebo. Unfortunately, that feeling in my stomach returned tenfold--I realized I haven’t been this nervous in years. I didn’t eat a single piece of food, and to this day have no idea what I ordered. I looked out the window and saw the event coordinator dropping rose petals and carrying a bottle of bubbly. Next came the text message from the photographer stating he was waiting in the bushes. No turning back now. Tiffany asked, “I wonder what’s going on out there?” To that I responded, “Let’s check it out before it starts.” We made our way down to the lawn leading up to the gazebo, and out of the corner of my eye I saw the photographer crawling army style through the bushes. We got to the gazebo and the speech I had worked on my drive down was gone. I’m sure I said something unintelligible as I went to one knee. At first the look on her face was pure confusion but the luckily the ring helped her understand the words were supposed to be “Will You Marry Me?” I wish I could tell a story of James Bond-like style, but I’m not sure if I have ever been more awkward in all our years of dating. She said yes and instantly the feeling in my stomach was gone and we were engaged.

In Tiffany's words: Jeremy planned a secret weekend trip, about which he only told me to pack a nice dress or two for dinners. The secret location was Chateau Elan, a French-inspired winery outside of Atlanta, and a place I previously mentioned in passing that it would be nice to visit. When we got there I thought he might propose, but on the first day we did a winery tour, had champagne and roses, but no proposal. We planned to watch a UFC fight the next day (Team Ovince Saint Preaux!), so I accepted that a proposal was not in the cards that weekend. But I wasn't disappointed, as the trip had already been so wonderful – I knew we were still going to have an great time. The next day we went to lunch at the winery's spa, but he didn't eat, he wasn't as talkative, and he was so sweaty! He credited his not feeling well to the prior day’s champagne, and after lunch we decided would walk the property near the winery’s lake. We walked towards the gazebo on the lake, and I saw flowers on the walkway leading to more champagne on a table. As I made up a song in my head about having flowers everyday, I turned around to Jeremy being down on one knee. Tearful, I think he asked if I would marry him and then showed me the ring. I immediately covered his face in pink lipstick, jumped up and down like a school girl and said “I will’. Afterwards, I realized we had an audience at the spa cheering and a photographer on the ground capturing the moment. It was magical for me, and exhausting for him I'm sure – he fell asleep during the couple’s massage he scheduled shortly after the proposal! But that weekend was so special, and he made sure to capture the memories.
